A R12m three machine three strand large round billet continuous casting machine from Zhangjiagang XXX Co., Ltd., constructed by Boye Group, was successfully hot tested at 15:45 on August 7, 2018. To create conditions for the release of steelmaking capacity, fully utilize the advantages of advanced process equipment, effectively reduce costs, and enhance the core competitiveness of the enterprise.

The arc radius of the casting machine is 12m, and the cross-section of the round billet is: φ 200~ φ 500mm, large bloom 300 × 300mm, cast steel covers the range of low, medium, and high carbon steel, including bearing steel, spring steel, and gear steel.

Design highlights include: the use of a disc shaped rotary table and intermediate tank metallurgical technology; Crystallizer liquid level control technology; Crystallizer and solidification end electromagnetic stirring technology; The hydraulic non sinusoidal vibration device of the crystallizer realizes non sinusoidal curves; Air water atomization secondary cooling; The fan-shaped section adopts roller control to prevent bulging; Adopting continuous straightening technology.
