On January 12, 2024, the hot commissioning of an R6m three machine three stream continuous casting machine at DEVKI Steel Company in Kenya, undertaken by Bohai Metallurgical Group, was successfully completed. The successful hot test of this important project not only demonstrates the advanced technology and strong strength of Boye Group in the metallurgical field, but also opens up a new chapter for international cooperation.

The continuous casting machine mainly produces square billets with a cross-section of 100x100 mm, 130x130 mm, 150x150 mm, with a fixed length of 6-12 meters. The steel produced is plain carbon steel. The continuous casting machine adopts automatic weighing of molten steel in the ladle, continuous straightening and straightening machine, rigid dummy bar, hydraulic shear, infrared sizing, billet temperature measurement, billet weighing, hot delivery and rolling, hydraulic system online monitoring, and advanced and mature automation control system.
