This engineering project is an eight machine eight strand continuous casting machine, mainly producing 150mm × 150mm cross-section, 12m fixed length, ordinary carbon structural steel, continuous casting machine capable of producing 1.8 million tons of qualified billets.

In the current hot steel market, the first party of this project requires a total construction period of only 145 days. At the same time, due to environmental impact, it is difficult to deliver standard parts. In such a difficult situation, the continuous casting project team of Bohai Metallurgical Group overcame various difficulties to ensure that the hot test is completed within the contract period, meeting the owner's demand for "short investment and quick results".
